18 Stubben Survival Trail Close Contact. We are far too fond of this saddle! We have never seen a Survival from Stubben in person, and we are hooked! To make this saddle better, its new with tags! This cool saddle is the perfect marriage between endurance/trail saddle and a close contact jump saddle. A true 18″ seat, with forward set flaps that measure 15″, with a really cool block. Has rear blocks and front blocks, with the knee rolls that have inlaid pockets to reduce the bulk under the rider’s knee. Very narrow twist, textured jockeys and for grip, topped off with suede knee rolls for even more security. Marked as a 32cm tree, which is Stubben’s Wide, with the gullet measuring 5.5. Stubben’s have more of an “A” framed tree, which is a great option for a wider shoulder with a more upright spine. This one has ample wither room, narrower channel, and low gussets. This would be a great option for those pony/athletic crosses. This one has lots off brass rings to hang packs, breast plates, or cruppers on. Only wear to note is a bit of scuffing on the cantle.
